What does Formal Attire/Black Tie Optional mean?

Answer

Think elevated and sophisticated. Women can wear floor length gowns with refined silhouettes or elegant cocktail dresses below the knee. Tuxedos are encouraged for men, but a suit with a white shirt and tie is perfectly acceptable. We ask that you stick to classic black, deep jewel tones (burgundy, emerald, midnight blue) or metallic shades.
