Like many couples these days, they met online. Their first date took place in Culver City, where they would later live together for three years, and quickly set the tone for a relationship built on meaningful conversation, shared values, and a mutual enthusiasm for good food. While they are now in Austin embracing a new adventure, many of their favorite memories are rooted in drives up and down the California coast, scouting for sweet treats, pulling over to take in the view, and spending long days exploring places they love, including Malibu, where Garret proposed, and Santa Barbara, which has always been worth the drive. While they love to travel and have their sights set on far too many new restaurants, Garret’s appreciation for a relaxed night at home has rubbed off on Alexa. Home is also where they can usually be found snuggled up with their puppy, Luca, who has quickly become the most photographed member of the household. They feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and are so grateful for the chance to bring together the people they love most to celebrate with good food, wine, dancing, and a whole lot of joy.
