Lots of walking trails. The entrance for Camp Red Cloud Road offers many walking trail options, however, you will be about a mile or so from the playground. If you go down the St. Armand Road, that will bring you to the beach and playground as well as additional walking trails.
This is a nice walking path near the lake.
This is another walking path, located along the river for a portion of the walk.
This is a closer hike to Plattsburgh with an old fire tower on top!
Shorter hike with nice views of the lake!

This is where our ceremony will be! It has a playground, small beach area, and you could bring a kayak, SUP, or canoe to paddle on the lake.
They have a farm stand so you can stock up on amazing local, organically grown vegetables and pick-your-own flower bouquet (cash or venmo). Fun fact: this is owned by two of our friends (Alexa and Charles both grew up with one of the co-owners)!
This is one of our favorite restaurants! They use local and natural or organic ingredients as much as possible, they roast their own coffee, and they have a selection of baked goods. A couple of our favorites are the breakfast hash, maple miso stir fry, and their homemade french fries.
Another one of our favorite restaurants in town! They try to source ingredients locally. There is not a ton of seating and they do not take reservations, so you may want to get there early! They are closed on Sundays. They may end up being closed that weekend for the holiday but we won't know until closer to the date, so call ahead to be sure!
This is an upscale restaurant in Plattsburgh. Great food, great service, located close to two of the hotels listed in our "Travel" section. Fun fact: The owner grew up with the bride's father!
Try a maple latte! And take a look for our dog's picture on their pup cup wall (her name is Maple).
Check their facebook or instagram for updates on where they are parked when you are in town!
One of our favorite breweries that is owned by our friends! They have beer, hard cider, wine, and homemade sodas (Alexa's favorite is the maple soda).
They serve wine and some local beers. Beautiful views of the lake from here. Double check their hours as the time gets closer to the wedding as they may change in the fall.
This is one of our favorite hikes! Fun fact: this is where we got engaged! The trail is about an hour from Plattsburgh. (If you go, grab yourself some cheese from Sugarhouse Creamery on the way back!)
This is another one of our favorite hikes! It is about an hour from Plattsburgh.
The scenic gondola ride and memorial highway are open until October 12th. This our home mountain for skiing and snowboarding! This is about an hour from Plattsburgh.
