Alexa and Carter’s love story began in college when they met as sophomores at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Before choosing to attend the Academy, they both were pursuing careers in sports, Alexa in tennis and Carter in football and track. Out of the blue, both Alexa and Carter felt a strong calling towards the Academy that neither one could adequately put into words. Attending the Academy meant a completely different course for both of their lives, but it seems that there was a reason for this spontaneous decision after all! Once their decision was made, it was a blur of a year for the both of them. Between all the military training and rigorous academics of the Academy, finding a soulmate was the last thing that either of them expected. Yet, on a beautiful August night, Alexa and Carter met by chance at a local country concert. After their first meeting, it seemed like they saw each other everywhere they went! They were in the same physics class, lived down the hall from each other in the dorms, and sat only a few tables away during lunch in Mitchell Hall. The two definitely caught each other’s eye, and it wasn’t long before they decided to meet up at the home football game. They talked for hours and instantly became best friends. Everything after that was effortless. They connected over their love for competing, training, trying new things, and so much more! One of their favorite core memories was going on midnight runs and early morning gym sessions before walking to class together. That was the beginning of their forever; they both knew they had found their soulmate! On October 22nd, 2021, Carter got down on one knee and asked the question! They were engaged! That day quickly became one of the happiest days of Alexa and Carter’s lives. From the rush of excitement that came with Carter getting down on one knee, to the smile that never left Alexa’s face for the rest of the day, it was a moment etched in time, simply perfect! Every day since that moment, the happy couple has spent their time traveling the country, whether that be visiting family in New Jersey and Idaho, exploring colorful Colorado, touring venues to plan for their big day, or actually living in California for a year while Carter finished his space training as a new Space Force officer! They were also able to take a trip to Croatia so Carter could meet Alexa’s extended family and see where her grandparents are from. Every trip and adventure was truly special and memorable, but this next adventure just might be the best one yet… their wedding! After all the planning, anticipation, and constant growth of love for one another, they are so excited to start the next chapter of their lives as a married couple alongside all of their favorite people! They can’t wait to celebrate with each and every one of you and officially start their forever as the future Mr. and Mrs. Kuehl!
