On the first day of class, our sophomore year at Corban University. Calvin was sitting in the dining hall eating lunch. Alexa walked over to the table where Calvin happened to be sitting. She recognized him from a class that they had together freshman year. They were formally introduced to each other by a mutual friend. A month later they started dating and the rest is history.

Calvin knew he wanted Alexa to be unsuspecting of their engagement. He had Alexa's sister, Jordyn make plans to go on a sisters beach trip that Friday. Alexa had Calvin's current location on her phone so Calvin switched phones with his brother, Max and told him to go to a near golf course. Calvin then drove to the beach, communicating with Jordyn on Max's phone, and picked the perfect spot to propose. Alexa said yes, and they were engaged to be married.
