We were first connected on a dating app called Bumble. On this dating app, the girl has to reach out first. I sent a very corny pickup line, causing Andrew to think that I was a robot. I managed to prove that I was a real person and we set up our first date. Everyone that knows Andrew knows that he is VERY into his coffee so it is befitting that our first date was at a coffee shop. He drove all the way up from Denver to Greeley to meet me, a 45-minute drive. When Andrew recalls the story he tells me it wasn't that far. I remember very little of what we talked about that date, but I do remember his body language and how he moved his hands. As I got to know Andrew, this fact stood out even more because the only time he uses this kind of body language is when he is very excited or interested in something. It told me how invested Andrew has been in our relationship since the first date. On the other hand, I was not that impressed, after the date I called one of my best girlfriends and said there would never be another date. On his way home he thanked me for the date and we kept talking, later that week he convinced me to go out on another date with him. After that date, I knew that he was something special and by the third date I was completely sold.
When people ask how I met Alexa this is what I usually say. Me: "I met her on bumble." Them: "What is bumble?" Me: "Its a dating app" Them: Random commentary
One of the things that I am constantly reminded about Andrew is how adventurous he is, both at home and on trips. We have gone on several trips across the United States and without fail, we end up on a hike at each one of these locations. He has many videos of me hiking, he usually starts recording right before he thinks I am going to fall down. It usually results in a fairly funny video. I appreciate Andrew's want to explore the world because it gets me out of my own head and into the world. I look forward to the many more adventures that we will have.
One of my favorite memories of Alexa is in our first few months of dating we went to a little tea shop in downtown Littleton when all of the Christmas lights were up. After we had finished our tea we walked up and down the main street enjoying the Christmas lights. We took our first picture there!
