COVID-19 Update

updated as of 17-JUL-2020

We would love to have all of you at our wedding because you are all so important to us; however, in light of COVID-19, our main priority is the health and safety of our friends and family. We are proceeding with our wedding as planned. If you do not feel that you should attend our wedding due to your own health or the health and safety of other, please do not feel pressured to attend. We completely understand if you do not feel comfortable attending. For anyone who is unable to attend, we will be posting a video of our ceremony.

How We Met

We met through mutual friends in high school. Hanging out with everyone at his parent's house for fires was one of the highlights of my high school career. We dated other people for years, but, after those relationships came to an end, we became the friend each other needed. Soon that friendship turned into something more and after some pretty obvious flirting, we went on our first date.

The Proposal

April 20, 2019

On my birthday, after spending the day with my family in Grand Forks, we went home and he had me open my birthday present. After thanking him, he picked up a wad of tissue paper which had fallen on the ground. Inside it was a small blue and gold 3D-printed ring. When I looked up at him, he asked, "will you marry me?"
