Uber and Lyft are not available in Copenhagen, but you can use local taxis for a ride anywhere within Copenhagen. We highly recommend downloading the Taxa 4x35 App below. It will allow you to call a taxi and functions much like the Uber/Lyft app. https://apps.apple.com/dk/app/taxa-4x35/id440665078?l=da If you're staying at a hotel, you can ask someone in the lobby to call you a taxi. To call a taxi yourself, the number is +45 35 35 35 35 The metro system is also a great option if you want to zip around the city!
In Denmark, tipping is not a tradition. If you receive extraordinarily good service, you are welcome to reward it with a tip, but it is not expected. Service is normally included in the bill at restaurants, hotels and taxis, so it is optional whether to round up the bill or not.
While we absolutely love your babies, we kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements during all the evening festivities of our wedding weekend, including the welcome party, ceremony, and reception. If you will be traveling to Copenhagen with your baby or small children from the states, we would be happy to help refer you to some local babysitters. Thank you for understanding!
The short answer is: no! Denmark is mostly all cashless. Restaurants, bars, attractions, taxis, etc will all accept credit cards/Apple Pay. When Sebastian and I went in December we didn't have any cash on us the entire week and it was never an issue! If you want to carry some cash as a backup, the currency is Danish Kroner.
