Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

Our first recommendation is booking early! In addition to Gloucester being a popular New England destination in September, there are also multiple weddings in town on the same weekend. We invite you to stay wherever you feel most comfortable, as there is no preferred hotel for the weekend. For easiest access to transportation to and from the reception, we recommend Ocean House Hotel, Atlantis Oceanfront Inn Hotel, and the Vista Motel. Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Answer

We warmly invite you to join the wedding party on Friday night at Minglewood Harborside for some welcome drinks. Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, we will have the traditional "Catholic gap" in between the ceremony and reception. We encourage you to use this time to return to your accommodations, freshen up, and gear up for a night of dinner, dancing, and fun!

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

For the ceremony, we kindly ask guests to drive or Uber to and from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, which is a 15 minute drive from Gloucester. The church has ample parking. Transportation will be provided to and from the reception venue. More details on timing and pickup locations to come.

There is a large parking lot behind the church available for your use.

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Parking options at the reception venue are extremely limited as it is in a residential neighborhood with only a few street parking spots available. If you plan on driving, we encourage you to park at O'Maley Innovation Middle School to be picked up by our provided transportation to get to and from the reception venue. What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We'd love for our guests to dress up with us! The groomsmen will be in black suits and the bridal party will be in floor and ankle-length dresses. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for ankle, midi, or tea-length dresses, or dressy pant-suits. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manchester-by-the-Sea. The reception venue, Annisquam Yacht Club, is right on the ocean with both indoor and outdoor seating. Cocktail hour (weather permitting) will be held outside on the porch and dock. Dancing will be held on the covered section of the porch. We are hoping for a beautiful and warm September day!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding celebration will be an adults-only event. We truly appreciate you making any necessary arrangements in advance so that you can join us in celebrating our special day.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
