Sisters! From diapers to soccer jerseys, overalls, prom dresses, and now a wedding dress. I would not have wanted anyone else by my side then or now. We have so many memories together and so many more to come. We laugh, cry, dance, celebrate, fight every now and then, but most of all are always there for one another. Sisters! Most of our quality time together consists of trips to target, sweet frog, listening to music and when there is one - sonic. Emily is one of those people who's smile is radiant and you can't help but be happy around her. Emily is the best little sister a girl could have. What a joy she is! We met in 8th grade. She was the new girl from Florida and lets be honest, I was a lonely middle schooler in need of a good friend. Alisa was the best of friends and we hit it off from the start. We have gone through a lot of big moments together - school dances (we could be found on the dance floor always), adjusting to college life, becoming teachers, questioning being teachers, and so much more. She has been one of the most steady voices in my life, she always asks good questions and listens incredibly well. Alisa lives in Charlotte, NC.

I met Annie when I was a sophomore in college thanks to our campus ministry. Since then there has really been no turning back. She is a friend that always knows what to say and how to say it. She know how to love and care deeply. She is one of the first friends I had that truly showed me the love of Christ. We share the love of coffee, baking (she makes a killer cupcake), good questions and conversations, a nice spreadsheet, and taking in the little things. Annie lives in Boone, NC.

We met just last July, but oh man am I thankful we did. She is my current roommate and we work together! She has been such a blessing to me as we transitioned to Chapel Hill life at the same time. Though she is a new friend, I have no doubt we will be long time friends. We love to cook, eat tacos, watch movies (she's broadening my horizons), and of course try new coffee shops. She is a light and joy to be around.

Heather and I met my sophomore year of college and really kicked it off when we went to Uganda together on a mission trip that following summer. We were roommates for a year, my senior year. That year consisted of so many good things and we really loved ordering Japanese takeout, getting glass bottle sodas, and watching Bridesmaids on repeat. Funny thing is, Heather and her husband are the ones the introduced Alex and I. God's timing continues to amaze us. She is a friend that always pushed me to be myself and cares deeply. I met Jessica in college, she was the women's minister for the campus ministry I was apart of. One of the first times we hung out we went running together, and I quickly realized she was someone who could run and talk at the same time, I was not, but that day I tried hard. She has pushed me in so many ways since that day. We have done A LOT of adventuring together, road trips, hiking, international travel, working out, and much more. She pushes me to be me. She is the friend that showed me Jesus in a special way, one who loves me even when I mess up. She has seen me on some of my hardest days and some of my happiest. Truly a gift to me and a friend I can always count on. Jessica lives in Boone, NC.

I met Kelsea while in college, she was on staff with the campus ministry I was apart of. Kelsea is a friend that is constantly encouraging, asks good questions, and goes out of her way to care for others. She has shown and continues to show me what it means to selflessly love others. We share a love for all things Ireland, coffee, and accessories (headbands, studs, and mountain necklaces). Every time I talk to Kelsea in person or on the phone (long distance friendship) I walk away encouraged, challenged, and thankful. Truly a blessing to me and a friend who is always there. I met Samantha while I was in college, we were in the same campus ministry. There are so many things that I appreciate about our friendship. Like how her hugs are the best, she can sing like nobody's business, and I always appreciate our theology conversations. One day, while in college, I was in the car with Sam and she started belting 'Savior's Here' by Kari Jobe. I just took it in, and in that moment realized that she wasn't just singing, she was worshipping the Lord. She has helped me see and understand what it means to have a relationship with the Lord and she is always willing to be real and honest. We also share the love of a good cup of coffee. Sam is a true blessing to me. Sam lives in Wilmington, NC.
Ryan Blizek

I met Ryan back in the Fall of 2008 when my family started attending FBC. We became fast friends shortly thereafter once we discovered a mutual love for the outdoors and bad dad jokes. Our friendship took us on a multitude of adventures, from our first roadtrip to Old Rag Mountain in Virginia, where his truck broke down on Rt 66, to eventually going on two back-to-back mission trips to Haiti and Indonesia. I am forever grateful that the Lord saw it fit to bring Ryan into my life, to bless me with an incredible friend and brother. Ryan and his wife, Heather, also were the ones that initially set me and Susan up! Ryan resides in West Jefferson, NC.

I met Charlie almost ten years ago, though I really get to know him until we both went to UMD. Charlie and I were involved in the same college ministry, Navigators, and pretty much hung out and studied together a lot. One of the things that I appreciate and love about Charlie is both his humor and his deep passion for the Lord. He loves people well, knows the Word, and has a servants heart. I'm grateful to know him and call him a bro! Charlie resides in Great Mills, MD.
Daniel Harris

I met Daniel when I started going to F.B.C. in the Fall of 2008. He was the drummer for the youth group's worship band, Set Apart, and I eventually came on as the rhythm guitarist for the band. Dan and I sparred over Risk, Age of Empire, and some chess (though, I have always lost to him!). When Dan came back from college, he and I started to share a deep passion for the Lord and good books, be them theological, historical, or fiction. I'm incredibly thankful to know Dan as a friend and as a bro, for he has helped me to pursue the Lord better. Dan lives in California, MD.
Jeremy Peggins

Jeremy and I met in the Spring of 2011, when I started attending UMD and Solid Rock Church. He would come over to the townhouse after school and on the weekends, and we'd play old PS2 games late into the night with my housemates. Jeremy and I eventually became housemates a year and a half, where we learned the art of sparring with gladii, Axis and Allies strategies, airsoft battles, and esoteric conversations about Star Wars and Aliens. But more than that, Jeremy challenged me and encouraged me in my growth with the Lord. He helped spur me on towards Christ throughout my time at UMD in ways that are hard to explain. I am forever grateful to know Jeremy and to call him a friend. Jeremy resides in Reisterstown, MD.
Kavan Williamson

Kavan is Susan's brother. He's the only boy of the four of us siblings and though he is the youngest he towers over us all. When we were younger Kavan was always the quiet one, but if you really listened to what he was saying it was always hilarious, and that is still mostly true to this day. He has a big heart and deals with being the only boy really well. I mean what can I say us girls would give him some pretty tough competition on the basketball court in the driveway. Well...until he reached 6+ feet, then it was just unfair. He just graduated from high school this year and is on the path to college!
Marshall Gerwin

I met Marshall during my sophomore year at UMD at the Navigators, the college ministry that we went to. Marshall can best be described as a gentle giant, one that can rock a glorious red beard, a huge fan of UMD sports, and a fine connoisseur of dad jokes. I have dear memories of singing "Gangum Style" in the middle of a study night at the James Clark engineering building, yelling ourselves horse at the UMD-Duke game, and deep and long conversations about life and Christ. Marshall is the type of man that'll take off his shirt off his back to help anyone that he comes across and has consistently challenged and encouraged me to better love people like Christ has loved us. I am grateful to know him as a friend and as a brother! Marshall lives in Lafayette, Indiana.

I met Mike when he was having a prospective job interview for FBC's worship leader position, during the last World Cup. When he came out for the job, he and I started off on a great friendship, sharing our love for music, nerdy games (Lego Star Wars), and of the Lord. As I've gotten to know Mike over the last 3 years, I've been consistently encouraged by his love for the Lord and his desire to worship him in all that he does. I'm incredibly thankful to know him, to have him in my life, and to call him a friend. He's a man that'll challenge you in more than one way, from being quite peculiar about a guitar solo, to living a life that truly and fully glorifies the Lord. Mike lives in California, MD.

I met Michael several years ago at a bible study at FBC. Michael is the guitarist's guitarist! This guy has a passion for perfection and that bleeds into everything he does, be it from choosing the best guitars to continually designing and tweaking his guitar pedal board. His consistent tweaking has helped me out immensely as I have attempted to grow as a musician. This passion for perfection also flows over into his love for God and his care for others. Michael and I both share a love for good music, though his taste is quite better than mine, and bad memes. Michael lives in Leonardtown, MD.
