Kyndred Hearth, operated by James Beard Award-Winning Chef Ann Kim, is one of our favorite date night spots. It's located in the Omni Hotel attached to the Vikings Training Center - which also provides a great backdrop for their cocktail lounge upstairs, Ember & Ice. Enjoy some of their wood-fired pizza and their homemade soft serve!
Union 32 is a self-serve taproom featuring 32 local beers. They also feature their own brews! Their selection rotates, but you're sure to get a delicious Minnesota craft beer.
Fort Snelling is a historic landmark right on the Mississippi River. We've gone on many walks around the trails here, and Alex has fond memories spending his childhood summers exploring around the fort.
Of course we had to list the MOA! Minnesota doesn't have any sales tax on their clothing, so shop 'til you drop! We recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds, and bringing good walking shoes. Park in the West Ramp on level 3 (aka Hawaii) for easy access to the middle of the mall.
Another great landmark just outside of Minneapolis, there are walking trails along the river that lead to a 53-foot waterfall. Minnehaha Park is beautiful in the fall once the leaves start to turn!
The Como Zoo has free admission! Our favorite exhibits are all of the primates and the big cats. It also has a great conservatory!
