Fly from anywhere

Fly to Hermosillo. (HMO) After you land in Hermosillo, You can take a bus to Guaymas about 1 hour, then a taxi to your hotel or condo in San Carlos. You can also rent a car in Hermosillo and drive yourself to San Carlos. It’s nice to have the convenience of transportation to tour around and see the sites while staying there. We will try to get a driver or shuttle to pick groups up once we know flight times and more info.

Volaris Airlines from Tiajuana just outside of San Diego

Flights from Tijuana, Mexico (just outside of San Diego) to Hermosillo for a very reasonable rate. You can then take a bus or shuttle to San Carlos.

Drive From Phoenix and Hermosillo bypass

You can fly into Phoenix and rent a car and drive down to San Carlos. It's about an 8 hour drive and you should go through the Mariposa Truck Border. Don't forget your passport and Mexico auto insurance. You can get that online thru Sanborn insurance. https://www.sanborns.com/

Drive from Tucson and Hermosillo bypass

It is about a 6 hour drive from Tucson to San Carlos. Many people will be caravaning or carpooling there on Wednesday 25th March. You can rent a car and drive down. Go via the Mariposa Truck Border for an easier entry into Mexico. Don't forget your passport and Mexico auto insurance. You can get that online thru Sanborn insurance. https://www.sanborns.com/

This is where the wedding will take place. They have basic hotel rooms, condos with 2 and 3 bedrooms and penthouse suites. There is a discount for wedding guests. Bahia Delfin Condominiums

This is across the bay from the San Carlos town. It's where Mon & Alex and some of their close family and friends will be staying. Units can be found on VRBO, Airbnb or directly through Janeen (Jcbury@cox.net) who can put you in touch with some of the property managers. There are 2-4 bedroom condos, all with ocean view and full kitchen. They are great for families or groups but a bit more expensive than the hotel.

This is a Condominium complex on the beach right next to Bahia Delfin. There are many condos for rent on VRBO and Airbnb. Janeen may be able to get some property management information who manage a few if needed. There are 2,3 and 4 bedroom condos. This is a beautiful hotel and spa located on the marina. It is close to the wedding venue near many restaurants and bars. They offer basic affordable hotel rooms some under $100 per night, and they also rent time share condos which can be found on VRBO and Airbnb. The hotel may have access to renting the condos as well.

WHAT TO BRING AND KNOW

-PASSPORT -Mexico auto insurance If you are driving https://www.sanborns.com -Money- Get some Pesos to start $100 US worth. Notify your bank for travel plan- debit and credit cards. Credit cards are also accepted here and there (no guarantee... but cash is king! Also there is an ATM to get pesos. -Food-Breakfast food, snacks, appetizers. Drinks coffee etc..(stores are a short drive into town but it’s nice to arrive with provisions) -Beach chairs if you can! We will some shade. and tables on beach for partying!! Bring chairs!! -Casual beach clothes. -Sweat shirt Jacket or wrap -Drinking water- best not to drink the water!! Bottled water for first night (you can buy ice and 5 gallon water jugs from the office) some hydroflasks or plastic bottles for refilling). -Ice chest for the beach -Flashlight for night time beach walks and bon fires. -Water toys! DRIVING TIPS FROM ARIZONA TO SAN CARLOS

Driving Details from AZ If driving from AZ go through the Mariposa border. You may want to stop and fuel up at gas station in front if the Nogales Holiday Inn Express 850 N Shell road Nogales, AZ 85621 Then head across the border. When you get to the border it is a bit confusing. Just follow The signs. Eventually you’ll get to red or green light. Green? No need to pull over. Red? Pull over, wait for security, answer questions, be polite and smile. NEXT-No need for visa so only need to stop for personal reasons. “Guaymas” is the sign you follow the whole way. Before Hermosillo, there is a new “Hermosillo Corta” short cut’ take it and follow signs to Guaymas. There WILL BE weird U turns! Follow till you see SAN CARLOS TURN OFF). About 1 hr from Hermosillo you will see a turn off to San Carlos on right. Take it and Follow signs to your hotel or condo. If staying at Delfin or Pilar take round-about after big San Carlos sign then turn off quickly on your right ..it’s an obscure road.
