So, we’re getting married...

We both went to Hamilton College and fell in love with the outdoors. One tradition our alma mater has is a pre-orientation program for incoming freshman called Adirondack Adventure - one week fully immersed in hiking, canoeing, or kayaking. After falling in love with the program, we both decided to become leaders of AA (cheers!). Important context: AA requires two leaders per trip, one guy, one girl. There's a rule that at least one of these leaders must be on-campus that first semester to help assimilate the incoming freshmen. We were both supposed to lead with other people until one week before the trip when Alex decided to pursue his first start-up in NYC and drop-out that semester. Because of the important AA rule listed above, a last-minute switch of co-leaders occurred landing Katey and Alex on the same trip. It didn't take more than two days of knowing each other to realize what we had. We came home from a week of hiking and have been together ever since!
