Evelyn here! We met like any good rom-com meet cute would.. at a bar! Now to your surprise, it wasn't a wild night. Alex was one day out before his first Iron Man in San Diego and I was taking it easy. It was so easy that I was too shy to talk to the cute guy beside me. Luckily, Tiffany (my cousin) knew what she needed to do to kick off our love story. The rest was history!

Alex here! Leading up to the big day, I knew my biggest challenge would be keeping the proposal a secret with Ev. I worked with my Dad to find the ring that I knew she would love and kept it at my parent's house for safekeeping. Conveniently for me, we were living at Evelyn's parent's house at the time so asking for her hand was as easy as walking upstairs and bribing Gus with a bowl of Chili! I had the perfect day planned, brunch at one of our favorite spots in Long Beach and then a walk along the beach. All of our closest friends put together a beautiful picnic set up during sunset. The view was perfect and it was time to ask the question! There were tears, cheers, and plenty of high fives, but the best reward was being able to spend the rest of my life with my best friend! After the proposal, I brought Evelyn to the bar where we met (Bungalow) for some celebratory drinks and dinner. To her surprise, all of our friends and family were already there, ready to welcome us and celebrate the news! The fact that I pulled off three surprises (the ring, proposal, and dinner) was the true accomplishment! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Temecula!
