Come watch the sunset over the city of Portland on a clear day.
This is our favorite low-key brunch spot that never misses. At the time of writing this (January), they are still closed and awaiting permits from the city. They should be open by May! Alessio recommends the Breakfast Burrito and Anna recommends the Louisiana Hash. Don't miss out on the house made hot sauce. No reservations available, walk in space only. They get quite busy on the weekends, but it's worth the wait.
Anna's favorite bar in Portland.
Our favorite Indian spot in town. Approved by Father Shamsher himself.
Conveniently located next to Silsila!
What can I say, we like swanky bars!
Fancy Scotch bar + restaurant with incredible sharable plates and creative cocktails, both with and without Scotch. Make a reservation!
Fantastic cocktails and an amazing food menu. We recommend the Bahn Mi and Corn Ribs.
Our first apartment was a just a few minute's walk from this beautiful park. Perfect for a picnic. The roses won't quite yet be blooming in May, but this is still a wonderful park to see.
Looking for gifts during your visit? Look no further than Hawthorne Boulevard on the East side of the river. This street is home to tons of local businesses as well as bars, restaurants, and coffee shops to sustain your spree.
Very tasty, casual Italian eats. There are three locations!
Very luxe hotel and spa with underground thermal springs. Day passes are $100 and include 3 hours of time in the outdoor hot tub, saunas, steam rooms, and thermal springs. The hotel is fairly priced if you're looking for something a little upper scale (you do need to add on the springs pass as it is not included, but they do give you a discounted rate).
Alessio's beautiful place of work. A Portland staple for tourism.
Another one of our favorite hikes, coastal edition! This is a 4 hour or so loop trail. You'll spend about 3 of those hours in the woods, taking in all of the smells and sights of the local fauna and flora. This hike then opens up to a beautiful view where the Salmon River meets the Pacific Ocean. Pro tip, download AllTrails before your visit if you plan on doing any hiking!
This wine bar has since been renamed Bar Nina after Nina Simone. Stop in for a glass of wine, a fantastic grilled cheese, and say "Bonjour" to Pierre for us.
