Maid of Honor
We've been in the same schools since kindergarten, but our paths never crossed until med school. Since then though, it's been us two - through all the trials and tribulations of residency and everything that happens in between.
Best Man
As a friend Carlo is the type of guy who is there for anything - the type who you can count on to show up and be there when you need him, even if it means he falls asleep in the middle of dinner.
Bridesmaid
We first became friends in medical school, when Bety tapped us on the shoulder one day in class and asked if we wanted to go out to eat. As they say, the rest is history. Our friendship was built on a foundation of many good meals, and while many who meet her will say she is 'quiet', you will not find a more thoughtful and loyal friend.
Bridesmaid
Last but certainly not the least of our medical school friends, Louise was grouped with us from day one. Like magnets we two introverts were drawn to her energy and we've stuck by her ever since. She is our number one supporter and our most fierce defender.
Bridesmaid
Gillian is a lawyer and it's her twin sister that's the doctor, but growing up she and I were twin souls. Since high school life has brought us down different paths, but she is someone I can count on to never be too far away.
Bridesmaid
I would not be exaggerating when I say I spent every day of college with Diane. In those carefree days, her RAV4 was our chariot and no adventure was too great or too daunting. She has the ability to bring out the best in other people, and has the biggest heart of anyone that I know.
Groomsman
Karl, Albert, Jhalec. One of three inseparable 'buds'. On first glance, Karl appears to be the 'young, wild, and free' one of the trio, but really he is the hardest to the grindstone, the quintessential surgeon-in-training. Be that as it may Karl is a real 'pusong mamon', and the most caring friend.
Groomsman
The second of the 'buds'. Albert is a man of few words. We met in college where his door was always open, unconditionally, and with a side of tteokbokki and home made kimchi to boot. He is the first person to reach out and lend a hand in good times and in bad.
Groomsman
Jose Gabriel is my cousin, but he's grown up like my younger brother. We went to the same college and medical school, although he has been in Ateneo longer than me. Another future doctor in the making.
Groomsman
Encar is my oldest friend and we have been there for each other through it all. In our youth we were inseparable, but in our (relative) old age we are pretty much the opposite. However long it goes that we don't see each other, our friendship remains as strong as it ever was.
