Due to limited parking, we encourage guests to carpool/Uber to the Rutowski's. Parking will be along the right side of Shagbark Avenue starting from the intersection with Thornapple River Drive, and the right side along the west (left side) of Oakbrook Ave. Please see map in the Schedule & Location page. The parking area will be clearly delineated the day of the event, so please follow all signs. PLEASE NOTE: the walk to the Rutowski's from the parking locations can take up to 5 minutes.
All Plus Ones have been assigned on the online RSVP, so if you have a plus one, their name would appear under yours in the RSVP, as well as written on the front of the envelope in the physical invitation. We wish we could accommodate everyone's guests, but we have limited space.
The wedding ceremony will begin at 5pm, but we encourage guests to arrive anytime after 4:30pm.
Yes! The entire celebration will be on grass outdoors. The ceremony will be under large pine trees, and the reception will be inside a large tent. Bathrooms will be in an air conditioned trailer next to the tent.
We ask for guests to remain in the outdoor party area the whole evening (including family). The house will be used for party prep only, so please stay outside and enjoy the celebration.
The theme of the wedding is "European Garden Party". The dress code is summer semi-formal. Please dress comfortably, as the celebration will be entirely outdoors, and there will be no air conditioning.
Plan to be on grass / outdoor dance floor the entire evening. We will have a live salsa band, so please wear comfortable dancing shoes!
We want guests to soak in the ceremony without their cellphones. We have a professional photographer who will capture the special moments. Before/After the Ceremony feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!
PLEASE! We will provide rolls of film in exchange for your POV photos :) We will have a film drop off at the Bar, and we will develop all the rolls shot at the wedding!
