Alessandra was seeking a Catholic community in Boston and having very little luck. She decided to join an instagram group that helped Catholic women meet other Catholic women, where her now good friend Lucia, added each other but never spoke. Lucia, who knew John, invited Alessandra through messenger 6 months later to join her at a barbecue John and his brother were hosting. The best part, Alessandra knew to look out for John, since Lucia had mentioned it to Alessandra he was single, but he had no idea she would be attending that day. After a few other social gatherings, John asked Alessandra officially on a date!
John and Alessandra began officially dating on December 12, 2020, which also happens to be the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. As a couple they both began to grow a devotion towards our Lady of Guadalupe, so as their one year approached they hoped to be able to go to Mexico City. After many bumps in the road in Mexico the day of the proposal, John popped the question to Alessandra on 12/12/21! They have no doubt Our Lady has played a huge role in their lives and love for one another.
