Things To Do
Visit the Capital
If you want to stay for a few days and need something to do, visit the capital! There are so many things to do, including many free museums. You can drive there or take a train!
Go to the Zoo
There are so many zoo’s in driving distance. If you’re staying for a few days and have your kids or love animals, we recommend visiting a zoo! The Philadelphia, Baltimore or Washington DC zoo are all in driving distance. The Plumpton Park is also a small zoo located right in Rising Sun!
Shenandoah National Park
If you love national parks and hiking, you should visit Shenandoah National Park. It’s located 2.5 hours from Rising Sun and is the first National Park Alesia and Shawn visited together.
Take a Hike
There’s lots of places to hike around Rising Sun. Some places we enjoy are Rocks State Park, Susquehanna State Park, Fair Hill, and Perryville Park! Or ask Alesia for a recommendations!
