Answer

Question

If I can not find the wedding venue off of the website or where to go, what can I do?

Answer

If you or someone else who you know is struggling to find the venue or where to park when you arrive at the venue there should be someone directing traffic and/or you can call the coordinator, whos number will be listed later.

Question

Who do I contact to book a cabin?

Answer

Okay so the cabins on site are going to get booked very fast and there is only very few. I myself (Alesia) have the information on any of the cabins on site and If anyone is interested in booking one for the wedding night or the whole weekend, feel free to call me or message me at ( 903-910-9515) and if I need to contact the owner of the venue, she can also help with that booking process.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Okay so the colors of Cody and I's wedding are a burnt orange ( terracotta ) color, forest green, brown, or black. We ask that everyone respect our wishes and DO NOT MAKE YOURSELF STAND OUT OR GET KICKED OUT BY SHOWING UP IN WHITE, we will indeed have someone at the entrance with a squirt gun full of red koolaid if anyone and I mean anyone shows up in white. So that being said we ask that you either wear the colors listed above or any color that coordinates with the fall theme. Thank you!

Question

What will you be eating at the wedding?

Answer

Okay so, Cody and I are renting out a taco truck for the wedding, (Taco Perez) and everyone will receive a plate with two street tacos and rice and beans. I (Alesia) will be making salsa, quacamole, and queso to go along with the tacos. If you or your children do not like these options we will have a snack table with finger foods and sweet treats for everyone to enjoy before the cake cutting.

Question

If I have an allergy to any of the food listed in the menu items, who do I tell?

Answer

Cody and I would greatly greatly appreciate if anyone has any food allergys to let us know ahead of time, we will do our best to provide some food items that will be accustomed to your allergy.

Question

What time do we leave on the wedding night?

Answer

Okay so our venue is only allowed reception hours up to four hours and that is it, I have not asked our venue lady if that pertains to the wedding party also or just the wedding guest. That question will be answered better later on closer to the day of the wedding.

Question

If we have a card for the bride and groom, where do we put it?

Answer

We will have a card box on one of the bigger tables in the reception area, that will be where anyone can put their cards or if you want to directly hand It to the bride and groom then you may do so.

Question

Are we allowed to drink/smoke on the property?

Answer

Okay so I figured i'd answer this question right away so everyone knows what Is allowed on the property. One we will have a bartender in the reception area and they will be providing classic margaritas and that's it. You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol but our venue is big on no liquor, no shots. This is a rule because some of you will try and take it overboard and Cody and myself nor the venue will tolerate stupidity at the wedding. And yes the margaritas are free to an extent. Now to the part I'm sure most of you are wondering, the smoking part, vapes are 100% allowed at the venue and during the wedding. Weed is not allowed on the property whatsoever, not before the wedding not during the wedding not on premises. We are asking one time and one time only not to smoke and/or be high during our big day. I DON'T CARE IF YOU CAN HIDE IT "WELL" OR NOT, if you can not respect these wishes either don't show up or you will be kicked out.

Question

Can we fish and/or swim on the property?

Answer

Yes to answer most of the men's question, you guys can fish on the property it Is just a catch and release thing and the owner asks that you respect her wishes on that. Now the swimming part I am pretty sure that anyone can swim in the big pond but I do not know about the other ponds. It will be November so I don't know if the water will be too cold or still warm but you guys are allowed to swim in the big pond I know for sure. I will end up double checking with the owner just to clarify but there are also two hot tubs on the property, there is one in the silo by the brides cabin and there is one on top of the water tower. The one up there is a bit tricky to get up to so I would suggest not to go up there drunk.

Question

Can we have our phones out during the ceremony?

Answer

Cody and I are asking that everyone keep their phones away during the ceremony and whenever the ceremony is over you are more than welcome to get them back out and take as many pictures as you want. We do also ask that NO ONE post anything about our wedding until we have the chance to ourselves. We will probably be posting about it later that day and after that you can post whatever you want. The reason we ask this is because some people did not receive an invitation for a reason and we do not want anyone seeing my wedding dress until we have the chance to post it.

Question

Can we have pets at the venue?

Answer

No, the owner is a big no on pets at the venue only because they have wildlife all over the land and we are to not disturb them in any way possible. There are ducks that free range all over the property and we don't anything happening to them. The only pet that will be there is Cody and I's dog hazel just because we do not have anyone that can watch her for the weekend because everyone will be there at the wedding, she will also not be out just roaming around and the only time anyone will see her is if she needs to be taken outside to use the bathroom. So please we ask that you respect not only our wishes but the venue's rules.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will be sending out invitations probably the first or second week of August and we ask that you RSVP by the the first week of September. This gives us plenty of time to get everything we need for everyone and the right amount of food.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Anyone who receives an invitation is already good to come to the wedding, if a family receives an invitation then we ask that only the family show up. We are only allowed a certain amount of people at the wedding and if it's over the amount of people that are supposed to be there, then Cody and I have to pay extra money for extra people. If you are bringing a date we ask that you run it by us first so we can either confirm or deny and extra people.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are more than welcome at the wedding we just ask that you bring your kids and your kids only, no extras or other peoples kids. There will be a certain time that we suggest the kids leave the reception because the adults will have alcohol and we will be playing music kids should not hear. We know that some people will say that it's okay that their kids are used to it and Cody and I just prefer if the adults can get their time and not have to worry about watching what they say or do.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is parking for both the ceremony and the reception, there should be signs directing everyone to the parking and if not then there will be someone helping with that. Any handicap or elderly people who need to be directly sat in the chairs or need to be dropped off closer to the ceremony site we ask that you let Cody or I know ahead of time so we can get something figured out with the venue.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts 5 so we ask that everyone start showing up by 4. That way we have plenty of time to get everyone seated and in the correct spot before the ceremony starts. There will signs and an usher telling everyone where to sit, we just ask that No one walk around everywhere until after the ceremony, there are some cabins no one is allowed to go into and an usher will be showing everyone where they can use the bathroom.
