I’m pretty biased when it comes to our love story. Zachery and I met during the summer of 2011. I was in the batting cage practicing for softball and here comes Zachery Newcomb with my coach, Clay Rose. I had no idea who he was but apparently he noticed me because, later that night I received a message. “Hey this is Zachery.” Zachery and I talked for a few minutes and then he hit me with the pick up line. “You’re the best hitter this side of Arkansas.” HAHA! We were inseparable for a year but unfortunately we went a separate ways. Zachery went into the Army after high school and lived out his dream. After 3 years in, he had an injury that sent him home. I also went on with life after high school, got a big girl job, had a baby, and had some down spiraling events. We both went through trial and tribulations but after 8 years apart, we found our way back to each other. Zachery never blinked when he found out about Brinley (my daughter). He never treated her like something or someone he would have to accept to be with me. She was a BONUS! Zachery and I had talked marriage but we also wanted to take our time. We wanted to get to know the new and improved US. We are VERRRRY different people after 8 years but one thing has never changed, and that is the fact that we both want happiness for one another. Now, we are ENGAGED ya'll and we finally got our happy ending!
