Our story began towards the end of 2023 in a way only God could have arranged. We met online through shared music interests — nothing dramatic, nothing planned — just a small moment that turned into something life-changing. At the time, he was in Georgia preparing for a year-long deployment, and I was in California. From the outside, it didn’t look ideal. But from the beginning, God gave both of us a peace that didn’t match our circumstances. We spent an entire year in a long-distance relationship before ever meeting in person. Through deployment, distance, and all the unknowns, God kept confirming what our hearts already felt: that this connection was from Him. We finally met in December 2024 when I flew to Georgia to welcome him home. That first moment felt like God simply bringing together what He had already joined in spirit. We drove from Georgia to California so he could spend Christmas with my family, and that trip made it clear that God was guiding every step of our story. He proposed at the end of February 2025, and I moved to Georgia two days later. And because we wanted to honor God and walk in obedience, we eloped at the courthouse at the end of March 2025. Our relationship has never followed a “normal” path — it’s followed God’s path. And now we’re grateful to celebrate our marriage with the people who have prayed for us, encouraged us, and witnessed the way God has woven our lives together.
