Visiting Crete
Balos Lagoon
Known for its stunning turquoise water and incredible views. You can get there by car, hike down from the parking area, or take a boat from Kissamos harbour.
Elafonisi Beach
Famous for its pink-tinged sand and shallow, swimmable water. Great for a day trip.
Chania
A beautiful old town with a Venetian harbor, narrow streets, great shops, and excellent food.
Falasarna beach
A wide, sandy beach with clear water and some of the best sunsets on the island.
Samaria Gorge
For our more active guests, this is an amazing day-trip hike with stunning views and a great way to experience Crete’s wild side. The 16 km long ravine is the longest in Europe, making it a serious but spectacular five to six hour trek.
Sfakia & Loutro
A charming area in southwest Crete. Sfakia is a quiet mountain village, and just across the water, Loutro is a small seaside spot you can only reach by boat or on foot.
Traditional Tavernas
A trip to Crete wouldn’t be complete without a proper taverna experience. Be sure to try some of the Greek classics like souvlaki, tzatziki, and moussaka, but don’t miss the local Cretan specialties — traditional Cretan salad, kalitsounia pies, lamb or seafood dishes, boureki, and of course, local wine.
