Our service will be a full Catholic mass. Just to make it interesting, it will also be bilingual (don't worry, the programs will have translations into both languages!)
Because the ceremony is in a place of worship, and because we have hired a wonderful photographer and videographer for the day, please do not take out your phones to take photos during the ceremony. We will make sure to share all professional photos after the day. After the recessional, snap away (and please use our hashtag #sappilyeverafter to share your photos!)
Glad you asked! The "Things To Do" section on our website has some ideas for local watering holes and eateries. The Marriott and Hilton hotels both have bars if you'd rather keep it simple!
There are large, free parking lots both at the church and at Drury Lane. Parking is also free at both the Marriott and Hilton hotels.
The shuttle from the Marriott to Drury Lane will leave the hotel at 5:30 p.m., and make a return trip at 11:00 p.m. If you are staying at the Hilton, Drury Lane is right across the parking lot. And, Uber and taxis in the area are both plentiful.
Please dress in your best cocktail attire.
At Aleks and Brian's request, her parents Stasia & Grzegorz will be doing the traditional Polish bread and salt blessing to start the reception. This is an ancient Polish tradition that includes a short prayer followed by the eating of bread dipped in salt...and taking a shot of vodka. The bread symbolizes prosperity, while the salt prevents evil spirits from casting their charm over the newlyweds.
Yes! Aleks's babcia Irena requested this song at every wedding she attended. Please join us on the dance floor in her memory.
