Dress Code details

Men usually wear a black suit with an elegant tie (black or other colors). Since our event starts during the day, a dark blue suit is a great option too. But remember, feel free to bring your unique style and make it your own. For women, we recommend a long dress or an elegant ankle-length dress. Bright and vibrant colors are encouraged. Hair and makeup

*You should book a spot beforehand and ASAP. If you need support, please contact Sarahí! There are plenty of hair and makeup salons in Monterrey. While it's common for our guests to get ready in a salon, you can also choose to do your own. Here are some recommendations and price ranges (MXN) to help you decide. -Ponte Guapa: Makeup $980; Hair $620+; Both $1,600 -Vida Mía: Makeup $900; Hair $500 -María Bonita: Makeup $800; Hair $600; Both $1,200

Gratuity for staff

At the wedding, appoint a "table captain" to collect $150-$250 Mexican pesos in cash from each couple. Identify the waiter assigned to your table and give them half of the money pool at the start of the night, and the other half at the end of the night. This will ensure excellent service and an abundance of drinks throughout the evening.

Paying for stuff in Monterrey

-We recommend having a card without foreign transaction fees. -Visa and Mastercard are the most accepted cards in Monterrey. -American Express is accepted in some places only. -Apple pay and Google pay are rarely accepted. -Venmo, Zelle, Cashapp don't exist in Mexico. -Everyone takes cash, even Ubers. -Always bring some cash with you ($500 Mexican pesos). -Even though most places accept Visa and Mastercard, we recommend that you exchange some money. If you try to pay with dollars, you'll end up losing in the transaction. We don't recommend you pay with dollars.

Transportation

-Uber is perfectly safe. If you wanna be extra cautious, avoid ubering alone. -Do read the licence plates of your ubers. -Only take an authorized taxi at the airport. We do not recommend taxis outside of the airport. -Kindly note that we'll provide a shuttle service to and from the wedding venue at JW Marriot & Quinta Real at specific hours for your convenience.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

We are overjoyed to have you join us in celebrating our special day! Your presence is truly the greatest gift to us. We kindly request that you do not bring any physical gifts to our wedding. However, if you would like to honor us with a gift, we have set up a registry on Zola, where you can contribute to our honeymoon fund, or choose from a selection of experiences and items that hold sentimental value to us.
