We met in Houston in late March 2020, much to the shock of our friends and family - two strangers meeting in the throes of COVID... While the world struggled through a pandemic, we formed a new relationship. We had all the time in the world to get to know each other - from watching Tiger King, to baking more bagels, cookies, and cakes than we could eat, to having late night dance parties in Alejandro's living room, our love grew. We then adopted our little Luna and became annoying millennial dog parents. Alejandro's lightheartedness and laughter kept Nicole's anxiety about residency applications at bay and Nicole's encouragement (and mediocre writing capabilities) pushed Alejandro to apply to dental school. After a little over a year of dating, Nicole went to Chicago for residency and Alejandro went to San Antonio for dental school. Although the next three years would be the most difficult of our relationship thus far, we made it through with frequent visits, support from those around us, and innumerable phone calls. After her residency, Nicole finally joined Alejandro in San Antonio, and we began a life together, with Luna, of course. We got engaged in Argentina, Alejandro graduated from dental school, and then we moved to New York City to continue our adventures together. We can't wait to celebrate with y'all!!
