Our story started thanks to a little teamwork and a little persistence. We were introduced through a family friend, who also plays golf with Alex. We crossed paths at golf tournaments and family gatherings, but Alex made sure I didn’t stay just a familiar face for long. After repeatedly asking my mom for my number, she finally gave in. He sent a text, I replied… and the rest is history!

Our engagement was perfectly us, on a golf course, doing what we love. We went to Rancho Viejo Country Club for what I thought was a normal round with my brother and his girlfriend (shoutout Asiah and Alexis) , but on hole 7, Alex completely surprised me by getting down on one knee. Through lots of happy tears, I said yes and when I looked up, I saw our family and friends watching from a hill in the distance, cheering us on. We were both so emotional we don’t even remember what we said, but it made the moment that much more special!
