Local horseback riding in Woodland Park

Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center

101 El Paso Boulevard, Manitou Springs, CO 80829

What better way to see Colorado than to be on top of America's Mountain? Plus, how could you pass up the famed high-altitude donuts at the new Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center? (psst.. bring a jacket, it gets a bit chilly up there)

Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center

1805 North 30th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Don't miss seeing the Kissing Camels and one of nature's phenomena, Balanced Rock, at Garden of the Gods!

"With interactive exhibits, innovative displays and a vast artifact collection, this 60,000-square-foot attraction embodies the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect, as well as the Paralympic values of determination, equality, inspiration, and courage."

Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead

Old Carriage Road, Palmer Lake, CO 80133

Up for a little hiking? This trail is moderately challenging and is about 4 miles long (out and back). It has beautiful lake and mountain views!

Palmer Lake

199 County Line Rd, Palmer Lake, CO

Palmer Lake is where the Crosbys first moved to in Colorado and where we still love to go paddleboarding. You can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards from Palmer Lake Rentals to have some fun on the lake!

O’Malley’s

104 Colorado 105, Palmer Lake, CO 80133

Stop in for some delicious wings after your hangout at the lake at Palmer Lake's local Irish pub

Jing Young Chinese & Hot Pot

1054 Baptist Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80921

With one of the best Chinese restaurants around, Jing serves every customer like they are family -- which is why this was one of Alyzsa's dad's favorite places.

Shri Ganesh

11550 Ridgeline Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Speaking of amazing restaurant owners, we'd love to introduce you to Raj at Shri Ganesh! Alyzsa's dad met him at King Soopers buying gallons upon gallons of milk just before he opened the restaurant. No other Indian food compares to Raj's!

Jarrito Loco

315 East Highway 105, Monument, CO 80132

Okay, so there's a theme here. Alyzsa's dad loved people and loved good food, which meant he became friends with local restaurateurs. Of them, Angel and Angie at Jarrito Loco quickly became some of his favorite people. Looking for a good, authentic sit-down Mexican place? Check them out!

Loyal Coffee

11550 Ridgeline Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Great local coffee shop with GF options in the Springs (Northgate & DWNTWN)

Rivers and Roads Coffee

2539 Bruce Randolph Avenue, Denver, CO 80205

A GF/Celiac's dream coffee shop -- delicious food and wonderful coffee. A bit of a trek from the Springs, but well worth it!

Tacos El Metate

1742 South Chambers Road, Aurora, CO 80017

Oooo gotta love Mexican food! This is one of Alejandro & Alyzsa's go-to lunch spots after church.

Fuel Church

643 Colorado 105, Palmer Lake, CO 80133

Coming in early or hanging out for a while? Here is the local church in Monument that Alyzsa and her family founded in 2014.

Avalanche Hockey

1000 Chopper Circle, Denver, CO 80204

Extending your stay? Go see the Avalanche's home opener at Ball Arena in Denver! Click the link below to find tickets.
