Question

Does Valley of Fire charge an entrance fee?

Answer

Yes. Because Valley of Fire is a state park, there is a $10 fee per vehicle. Paying with cash will ensure a speedy entrance.

Question

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony takes place outside in the desert (sandy). Shade is limited and dependent on time of day, bringing a sun umbrella might be helpful.

Question

Will there be a reception?

Answer

We are having a short, intimate reception directly following the ceremony at the same location with drinks and desert. No entree will be severed.

Question

Will it be hot out at Valley of Fire?

Answer

March has some of the best weather out in the desert in the valley! The high can be around 70 - 75 with plenty of sun. While this type of weather is usually predicted for the month of March, please check the weather before travel and pack/dress accordingly.

Question

How far of a drive is Valley of Fire?

Answer

Valley of Fire is about a 50 minute drive from the center of Las Vegas. Of course, travel time will be dependent on where your hotel or lodging accommodations are. Google maps will direct you to the park and should give an accurate travel time frame.

Question

Do I need an all wheel drive vehicle to make it out to Valley of Fire? What is parking like?

Answer

Nope! Any car in good condition will make it out to the park! The roads are paved the entire way. Parking: When entering Valley of Fire, you’ll receive a park map. Look for parking at “seven sisters” picnic area or at the Visitor Center. Parking at “seven sisters” picnic site will be limited. The Visitor Center will have a larger parking lot, however it is a little further from our wedding site. The park will still be open to the public so we cannot guarantee a parking spot. Please consider carpooling.
