Bobbi & Alejandro met while at Macy Intermediate and attended freshmen year together at Schurr High School. They had a few classes together and the year ended like every other academic year ended at that time...signing the yearbook of everyone in your class. It was Alejandro's turn to sign Bobbi's yearbook. Did he write "HAGS" like everyone else? Nope, nuh-uh, no sir. Alejandro wrote that he knows she's moving away and wishes they stay in contact, and right next to his name (very subtly) he wrote his cell phone number. Smooth.
Safe to say giving her his number worked. Bobbi & Alejandro stayed in contact throughout high school. Mostly via text/phone calls, but fortunately there were times one of their parents would drive an hour and a half so that they can see each other. This back and forth went on for about 3 years until Alejandro came to his senses (kind of). Alejandro asked her to be his valentine on February 14th, 2010 and then asked her out again the following week. He took her to Pinks Hotdogs in Hollywood, then went on to explore the Hollywood star walk of fame. He then ended the day by driving over to Santa Monica pier. They walked around the pier and finally made their way to the shore where he told her he liked her....like-like her you know. February 21st, 2010 they officially became boyfriend & girlfriend. Woot Woot!
So Alejandro waited 3 years to ask Bobbi out, he couldn't possibly wait that long to propose...right? Wrong. Alejandro and Bobbi grew together, became best friends, moved in together and after a "short" 7 years Alejandro began to plan how he was going to propose. He bought the engagement ring and planned to take her to Joshua Tree for the big day. She, fortunately, had never gone camping before so while she was triple checking everything (and i mean everything....) he was finalizing the proposal plans. They arrived and on the first day, right before they headed out on their first hike, he got down on one knee and she said YES!
Well...the pandemic added an unfortunate chapter. We bobbed and weaved the obstacles the pandemic threw at us, sent a lot of rescheduling emails, made a lot of phone calls, and rescheduled to October 29th, 2021. (yay!)
So this is the part of the story where you all come in. This chapter is 10+ years in the making and they would love to have those most important to them help in starting this new chapter in their lives. Please take a peep at the website, get your dancing shoes ready and join us for a beautiful night!
