How far is the reception from the ceremony?

Answer

The reception venue is just a short 8 minute drive from the church, and we’ve planned the timing so guests can head directly over after the ceremony concludes.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal / Black Tie attire is requested. Please note that the reception will take place on grass at Moss Patio. We recommend block heels, wedges, or chunkier heels instead of stilettos for comfort and ease walking on the lawn.

Will the reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes — the reception is planned for the outdoor patio and lawn area at Moss Patio. Please enter through the Alumni Center and straight through the lobby.

What happens if the weather changes?

Answer

We have reserved an indoor event space inside the Alumni Center as a backup in case of rain, wind, or colder weather, so the celebration will continue comfortably no matter the forecast. Space heaters will be set up throughout the reception area to help keep everyone warm and comfortable during the evening.

Are there restrooms nearby?

Answer

Yes. Guests will have access to indoor restrooms inside the Alumni Center throughout the reception.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes. Parking is free at both the ceremony and reception locations. For the reception, we recommend parking at Visitor Parking Lot 1 or the UC Davis Gateway Parking Structure. Parking there is free on weekends and university holidays unless a special event is taking place. No permit or payment is required, and the structure offers convenient access to the Alumni Center, campus, the Mondavi Center, and the Arboretum.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to be fully present during the ceremony and limit phone use while we exchange vows. We are having a catholic wedding so we ask for respect and modesty during this time. We promise to share professional photos afterward!

Who should I contact with questions on the wedding day?

Answer

Please reach out to our designated point person or wedding coordinator rather than the couple so we can fully enjoy the day with everyone. We kindly ask that you do not reach out to the bride the day before or or day of the wedding.
