One of the best zoos in the country, a must see in san diego!
Closer to Ramona than the San Diego Zoo!
If you like history, check out the USS Midway tour in downtown San Diego!
Julian is a beautiful mountain town about 30 minutes from our venue with fun shops, world famous pies and lots of history! Fun stuff to do for kids like mining for gold! Grab a beer and a bite at Julian Beer Co.
Torrey Pines is one of the coolest beaches. You can get the true vibe of California with beach and mountatins in the same place!
Dramatic cliffs and Sea Lions everywhere! Easy walking paths with restaurants nearby. A San Diego favorite!
Less touristy and totally stunning. Feels more "Local California"
This one os for the hikers! Look up potato chip rock online. Take the route starting from Lake Poway for the most scenic. This is a tougher hike, 6-8 miles round trip depending on the route. Bring LOTS of water especially if you're mot used to the dry San Diego heat! Start early, it heats up quick!
Another hike. Less crowded than potato chip rock. This one is a favorite of locals with a gradual incline with amazing panoramic views at the top! 5-6 miles round trip
The BEST Mexican food! If you're from the East Coast, make sure to try this authentic restaurant! We highly recommend the "Aidas Burrito." A Carne Asada burrito marinated in hot sauce, or you can never go wrong with a "California Burrito!"
HIKE: This one is right in Ramona! *Experienced hikers only* A beautiful swimming hole and water fall at the bottom, but it is a tough climb coming out so make sure to have TONS of water. Must purchase a permit before arriving from Recreation.gov. The hike out is uphill the entire way with 1000 foot elevation change.
Downtown is about a 45 minute drive from Ramona, but if you want to experience it here are our recommendations. Nightlife/Energy - Gaslamp Downtown Best food and good vibes - Little Italy Full San Diego experience - La Jolla Quiet & Upscale - Del Mar Authentic beach town - Ocean Beach - Think vintage, street music, murals etc.
