Joey and Aleia had 10th grade English together. Aleia was out for a ACL knee surgery and her and Joey were partnered together for a project. Their teacher gave Joey the option to let Aleia get credit for his work, or make her do the project by herself. He chose to give her credit. They reconnected again in robotics and in 11th grade history and became friends. Then their 12th grade year they played a 8ball game on the phone together and eventually went on their first date to the bowling alley. Then 7 days later Joey asked Aleia to be his girlfriend.
