Aleese’s POV: I remember one day during the summer, my best friend Liz had sent me a message: “Hey girl, want to get your nails done with me this weekend?” And the first thought that popped into my head was “OMG is he going to propose!?” Like I thought when we were in Mexico, when we went to the cabin, our trip to Duluth, and all of the other fun excursions we found ourselves on. Ladies, you get it right? 🤣 I immediately shut that down, because if you know me - I get my hopes up over the smallest “hints” or ideas, and there’s nothing worse than being disappointed over something you made up in your own head 😂 Fast forward to Saturday, 7/27/2024 - Liz and I were getting our nails done and the second I sat down in my seat my nail tech said “what brings you in?” And I said “I think I might get engaged today”. All day I was badgering Liz about it, and for once she had Dylan’s back over mine 😉 We had plans to go to 3D’s later in the afternoon, but when I got home Dylan BEGGED me to go on a hike… I should have mentioned that it was approximately 90 degrees out. So I flat out said “uhm no thank you”. Finally I caved for a short walk in a local park… during our walk Dylan had to tie his shoe and fell behind… when I turned around, he was down on one knee with the prettiest ring I’ve ever seen 🤩 We went to 3Ds after, and he surprised me with our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and some friends… best day EVER… so far 🤭 Dylan’s POV: I knew from the first day I met her I had to make her mine. She definitely didn’t make it easy either.🤣 I wanted to take her to a state park with a beautiful view to propose, but I picked a day in July that was 95 degrees. She wanted nothing to do with a hike.🙄 Instead we settled on a quick and quiet walk in the park where I pretended to stop to tie my shoe and she kept walking. When she turned around, surprised I hadn’t caught up yet, she saw the ring, and thankfully, said yes.🥳
