We met the old-fashioned way...through a mutual friend! Who woulda thought, huh? Mike was having a post-Thanksgiving get-together with a few friends and had invited his childhood friend Rich. Rich had separately made plans to meetup with Aleen (we're old work friends) and invited her to Mike's get-together. There were drinks, some wine, some Curb Your Enthusiasm jokes, and the rest is history!

Mike almost had to propose while going through security at the Versailles Palace when he had to empty his pockets, which included the engagement ring. Luckily, through the art of distraction and some amazing Versailles ceilings, Aleen didn't notice the ring and crisis was averted. Later that evening, we were strolling along the Seine River. With the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background, it was the perfect moment for Mike to pop the question! Mike then tripped and fell into the river.....just kidding! Aleen said YES!
