Elfin Forest
We live a block away from the forest and it's one of our favorite places to go running. Offers awesome views of Morro Bay while you hike through pygmy oak groves. It's an easy hike starting in the sand and then turns into a boardwalk most of the way around.
Luna Coffee Bar
Great little cafe in charming beach town Cayucos. We love enjoying breakfast in their garden patio.
Sweet Springs Nature Preserve
Located right on the bay this easy walk offers gorgeous views and lots of bird watching. It's one of Declan's favorite places thanks to plenty of wooden bridges and boardwalks.
Morro Bay Embarcadero
It's like a mini Fisherman's Wharf with fantastic views of Morro Rock, sea lions, and the stacks. Offers plenty of touristy restaurant options and kitschy shops.
Spooner's Cove
This picturesque beach gave Harmony Chapel a run for its money on where we wanted to get married.
Downtown SLO
Historic downtown San Luis Obispo offers plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy and explore. Check out the Mission the town was built around and the creek that runs past it.
Coastal Access Monarch Butterfly Preserve
A moderate hike through eucalyptus groves to Morro Bay sand-spit and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Note - the hike up the sand dunes is tough but worth it for the view. And yes that is Declan in the photo, and no the dune isn't actually that steep ;)
Baileyana, Tangent & True Myth Tasting Room
One of our favorite wineries to go to for tastings. The wine is yummy and you can enjoy it at their outdoor tables overlooking the vineyard.
Bayside Cafe
Quaint cafe located on Morro Bay with plenty of outdoor seating and gorgeous bay views. Make sure to check out the nearby boardwalk path after your meal.
Beerwood
Newly renovated outdoor beer garden in downtown Los Osos also offering tasty bites, plus it's dog friendly :)
