Shem Creek
Shem Creek has lots of great dining options, all with beautiful views. Muddy's bar (located under Vickery's) has the best margaritas and the best sunset view. Red's Ice House is a classic and is always a great time. Water's Edge has the best happy hour apps and drinks. On the other side of the creek, Shem Creek Crab House, Mill Street Tavern and Shelter are also some great must try's.
Sullivan's Island
If you go to Sullivan's Island you have to stop into Dunleavy's Pub; Alec's family has gone here every St. Patrick's Day (rain or shine) for over a quarter-century. Best Home Team BBQ in Charleston, hands down- especially with the maid of honor behind the bar! Also, try out Poe's for one of the best burgers in town.
Isle of Palms
The Windjammer is one of our favorite venues to watch live music! We frequent here a lot during the summer because live music + the beach always makes for a great time. The Dinghy is the best beach bar for late night snacks and great service!
King Street
If you can make it to Second Sunday on King Street definitely go! The city closes down part of King Street and vendors set up all throughout the street where you can find art, unique food vendors and lots of shopping! It's happening April 12th from about noon till 5pm.
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre
If you have time to do any shopping but don't want to go all the way downtown, Towne Centre has lots of great shops and good food options to try!
Folly Beach
If you have time to venture out to Folly, please do! Since we currently live about 10 mins from Folly we frequent there pretty often. You have to stop into Chico Feo and get the ramen & a samurai sling- it will not disappoint! We also love Pinky's (inside The Tides Hotel) for some apps and a great atmosphere. The Crab Shack is TJay's go-to spot to get his crab legs. Catch 23 has a rooftop bar that we love and you get the best view of all of Folly! Stop into Lowlife Bar for the best shrimp po'boy, the best fries and tons of great drink options. Everywhere is super dog friendly so Remy enjoys it too!
