We're getting married!

Our adventure began back in 2014, during our freshman year of high school. At first, it was just a few exchanges, shy smiles in the hallway, and stolen glances. But by sophomore year, fate (and a few shared classes) finally brought us together. Mariana made the first move, asking Alec to the Sadie Hawkins homecoming dance. Alec said yes, and a month later, in November 2015, he made it official and asked her to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, we were inseparable. We navigated the highs and lows of high school side by side, cheering each other on through baseball games, dance performances, exams, and everyday teenage adventures. As graduation approached in 2018, we were excited for what lay ahead, but also faced a new challenge: long distance. With Alec heading to UT Austin and Mariana to TCU in Fort Worth, 189 miles stood between us. It wasn’t always easy, but love, determination, and countless FaceTime calls kept us close. Nearly every month, we found a way to see each other. Megabuses, late-night drives, and weekend getaways turned those miles into memories we’ll cherish forever. In 2022, after four years of long distance, we celebrated another milestone: college graduation! Soon after, Mariana packed up and moved to Austin, and we finally began the life we had dreamed about for so long, living under the same roof. Life together has been full of laughter, adventures, and of course, the addition of our goofy dog, Koda, and silly cat, Luna, who quickly became the center of our little world. Then, came the moment we had been waiting for. After nearly nine years together, Alec got down on one knee in the breathtaking mountains of Banff, Canada, on September 13, 2024, a proposal years in the making. (And yes, Mariana saw it coming... Alec has never been great at keeping secrets!) It was the most perfect day, surrounded by towering peaks, glassy blue water, and a whole lot of happy tears. Now, after nearly a decade of love, growth, and endless memories, we’re finally making it official. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with our closest friends and family and to begin our forever together.
