Alec and Kaitlyn met in February 2023, just as Alec was making his move from Long Beach to Denver. While Kaitlyn was settling into her new place and Alec was putting the finishing touches on his own, the two toasted to new beginnings, unknowingly kicking off the start of a lifelong love story. A few months later, they made the trip to Green River (home of the world’s largest watermelon mural), to bring home Penelope Mae. She became the first piece of their little family and continues to teach them about love, patience, and showing up for one another every day. Over the past few years, the two have built a life full of laughter, living room dance parties, Lakers games, puppy cuddles and debating what to watch before ultimately going back to Game of Thrones. On an unusually warm and sunny November 14th, Alec brought Kaitlyn to Deer Creek Canyon overlooking one of their very first hiking spots. There, he asked Kaitlyn to spend forever with him. She said yes, and now their happily ever after is just beginning.
