Our paths have always been intertwined, like two sine waves, intersecting at certain points and then drifting away. Our friendship began 17 years ago, as freshmen at South High in 2007. (We've now known each other for more time than we haven't 😮). In college, Jade was in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at the U of M and I was in Civil Engineering. Once again our paths crossed, this time unknowingly, as we swapped majors the exact same year. 10 years after we met, our journeys collided once again at Blackstack Brewing in 2017. Our friendship quickly rekindled as we worked, went to shows, and traveled together. We went for walks with Akira, catching up on the latest chapters of each other’s lives. Finally, in summer of 2024, our journeys came together for good. I started coming over often (daily, one might say) - lounging in the back yard, reading together in comfortable silence, taking Akira to play frisbee, and talking about everything and nothing at all. We started going up north and decided we were, as Jade would say, obsessed with each other. And so it goes; our paths aligned, our sine curves converging to ride the axis of life together, forever.
