I asked to be maid of honor because "matron" sounds old, but here we are. I met Claire in 2003, and we've been best friends ever since. Not many people can genuinely say that their sister is their best friend, and I'm so thankful that Claire and I are as close as we are. I really couldn't have picked a more kind and genuine person for Claire than Alec. He has already felt like family for years, so let's make this official!

Alec has wanted me since third grade and I assume by this engagement to Claire, he has finally gotten over me. We started out as best friends in third grade. We would skip recess outside to take drawing books from the library and trace the figures inside. After a couple years of not being in class together, we were back in the same class in seventh grade and we just picked up where we left off. Over the years, Alec and I have become brothers experiencing most of life together. He has become part of my family and is a big brother to my siblings. Alec is the most genuine person I know inside and out. Without him, I would not be who I am today. I love his outlook on life and how he loves people. I’m beyond excited for my brother to be married to love of his life. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him.

I've known Claire for almost my entire life. Whether it was dancing in the kitchen together growing up, making up songs and raps, or creating the stupidest videos of ourselves, we always knew how to have a good time when we were with each other. It has been so fun getting to know Alec over the past several years, and I am so excited to be a part of their big day. I love you guys and I can't wait to see where life takes you two!

I first met Alec when he was the Kobe Bryant of West Marion Elementary School, and I was his Shaq. We parted ways and then made our way back together as roommates at Appalachian State University from 2021-2023. We made lots of memories and played lots of board games and fortunately, still graduated. I’m thankful to have gone from Alec’s teammate, his roomie, and now one of his groomsmen. I wish him and Claire nothing but the best in the future.

Claire and I met through the dance program at Anderson University. We bonded over our love for tap dancing (and tap shoes!), the Jonas Brothers, Dancing With The Stars and SO much more! During Claire’s last semester at school, I had the honor of choreographing and performing a tap duet with her and it was easily one of my favorite memories with her. I am immensely excited for Claire and Alec. Let’s get you married Claire Bear Toney Woney!!!

Hiya pals, I'm Jalen Winchenbach. I've known Alec since we were wee lads playing soccer together at the Y. We were great friends all through high school and played basketball together and even won a state championship together💪🏀. I've always considered him a brother so it will be nice to make it official and him join the family!

I met Claire at Anderson University and she quickly became my go to person for weekly dinners, shopping trips, and dancing until our feet hurt. We have made so many wonderful memories and I can’t imagine life without her! I am so excited to stand by her on her big day!

Hi, my name is Ian Baker, and I am a Groomsman. I've known Alec since we were in elementary school playing basketball together and have been his friend and teammate all through middle school and high school. I even followed him to college at App state. I couldn't be happier to be there for both Alec and Claire on one of the best days of their lives.
