What are different transportation options to Deerwoode Reserve?

Answer

Ubers are limited in the Brevard area, where Deerwoode Reserve is located, so it’s more difficult to find rideshares there. The venue is about a 30-minute drive from Asheville Regional Airport, where Ubers are available. To make transportation easier for the wedding, we’ll be providing a shuttle service between Deerwoode Reserve and the hotel block on June 14th. If you plan to explore the surrounding areas during your stay, we recommend renting a car for more flexibility.

What should I wear?

Answer

For the ceremony, cocktail attire is encouraged—feel free to dress up as much as you like! For the welcome drinks, semi-casual attire is perfect. Since the wedding will be outdoors, make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Outside of the Welcome Party and Wedding, we recommend bringing clothes for outdoor activities to enjoy North Carolina's beautiful mountains, including swimming, hiking, and biking.

What is the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

In June, Brevard, NC typically enjoys mild to warm weather, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s°F. The evenings can be cooler, dropping to the low 60s°F.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in a grassy area overlooking the Deerwoode Reserve lake.

How close together are the ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

The reception will be held indoors at the Mayes event center, located on Deerwoode Reserve and next to lake where the ceremony will be held. It's a short, pretty walk :)

There will be a designated parking area within Deerwoode Reserve near the ceremony and reception areas.

All wedding festivities are by invite only.
