I was looking through a dating app called Hinge one day and came across Ariana's profile. I decided to give her my weekly rose (a gesture that showed I was very interested). After exchanging messages back and forth we went on one, very long coffee date. Thus began many months and years of coffee dates, sunset walks, picnics, bike rides, and so much quality time. After two and a half years of dating and many months of planning I devised a plan to propose to her on the bluffs of Shell Beach (one of our favorite sunset spots). Waiting for her there may be the most nervous and excited I've ever been, but after hearing that yes, I can confidently say that I cannot wait for what our future holds and to celebrate our marriage with our closest family and friends.

Alec & I met on a dating app called Hinge in July of 2021. I was ready to delete it, but thought I would go on one more date after Alec’s profile popped up. He asked for my number and from that we decided to get coffee on a random Wednesday morning. Time went by and after hearing the mission bells ringing, I realized we had been talking for almost three hours! It just felt easy. From that date to the next, we continued to spend time together from cooking, going on walks, more coffee dates and spending time with friends together. When we started talking about getting engaged, I was pretty confident that Alec would not be able to keep the proposal a secret since he’s a terrible liar (which is otherwise is a very, very good quality). But he pulled it off after months of planning and went above and beyond making sure that some of the people closest to us were there. It amazes me how much we’ve grown and learned over the past few years, and I’m excited to continue to live life together.
