Travel Note

Thank You

We understand that this weekend in New York will feel a bit like a destination wedding to many of our friends and to our family, and appreciate you making the trip to celebrate with us! It's our hope that you will use this as an excuse to explore New York City. In addition to the travel logistics listed below, please refer to Things To Do for a few ideas on sights to see across the city.

Hotel

The Yale Club

50 Vanderbilt Ave, New York, NY 10017

(212) 716-2100 We have a room block, available on a first-come first-served basis, at the Yale Club, where the Ceremony, Reception, and Brunch will be held, making this the most convenient option to stay. Please call and mention the Samolczyk and Malinauskaite wedding room block to make a reservation.

Hotel

InterContinental New York Barclay

111 East 48th Street, New York, NY 10017

(212) 755-5900 We have a room block, available on a first-come first-served basis, at the InterContinental, which is in close proximity to the Yale Club. Other hotels (e.g., Hyatt Grand Central, Westin Grand Central, The Lexington Hotel) are available in the area, but without a room block.

Flight

LaGuardia International Airport (LGA)

LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) is approximately 10 miles (18 minutes) from Midtown Manhattan and is likely the easiest of the three airports to travel from/to.

Flight

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is approximately 18 miles (28 minutes) from Midtown Manhattan, but can take much longer to travel from/to depending on traffic.

Flight

Newark International Airport (EWR)

Newark International Airport (EWR) is approximately 17 miles (40 minutes) from Midtown Manhattan.

Train

Moynihan Train Hall

For those traveling from the East coast, Amtrak Acela and Northeast Regional trains arrive into and depart from the newly built Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station.

Travel Note

Getting around the city

In Manhattan, yellow cabs are abundant. As with other cities, Uber and Lyft are great options to travel by car. If you're feeling adventurous, the subway is often the quickest way to get around the city (assuming it runs on time)! If you plan to stay in Midtown, walking might be easiest, especially between hotels and the event venue.
