We got engaged on January 13, in -6 degree weather, in Evergreen, Colorado. Alec's "Plan A" went haywire and he had to scramble to maintain the sweetest surprise.

A few weeks into dating, Abby invites Alec to her sorority formal "Owloween" - Alec moves mountains (a.k.a. his Halloween party) to join as her date.

Early on, Abby and Alec went to the most random concert of all time, in Denton, TX - one of our most memorable early dates.

Go Frogs! Alec and Abby both went to the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale Arizona, where we saw a historic Frogs football win and celebrated Abby's 21st birthday in style.

Alec's first hometown visit to Colorado: we went ice skating in Evergreen.. just over a year before Alec would propose in the same place.

We even learned to surf at sunset in the Basque region of France (Biarritz). Our instructor was hilarious and Abby was sore from getting slammed by waves all evening.

Abby and Alec spent a day of spring break touring castles in Sintra, Portugal... after 60 hours of flight delays for Alec.

Our favorite destination during Alec's week in Spain was San Sebastian. We ate like kings and queens. Ask us about the pintxos!

During the summer following Alec's graduation, Abby worked in Dallas. We'd reunite on many evenings in Fort Worth with a date night, or more likely, a game of Catan.

The big move! Abby helped Alec move up to Denver to start his post-grad career in August 2023. Smiling here but sad to re-start the long distance journey.

Abby and Alec celebrate engagement with a Nuggets game! This was a callback to Alec's first visit to see Abby in Colorado a year prior.

We celebrated our engagement with a surprise dinner with the Malloy and Weber families. Can't stop smiling here.

Abby's roommates in Fort Worth threw the couple the sweetest engagement party, featuring a handful of close friends in the DFW area.
