we're getting married!

On March 13, 2022, Alec showed up at my doorstep completely uninvited, a stranger with no prior warning. To be fair, I was hosting a bonfire for my recreational soccer team and friends, and I had made the classic mistake of saying, “Bring whoever you want!” without clarifying that I meant significant others. When I answered the door, there stood Alec and his friend, ready to come in. Little did I know that the stranger at the door would become the love of my life. Fast forward about a year to August 2023, when Alec and I went on our first official date to Chattanooga. It was the beginning of something truly special. That sounds cheesy, but it was such a beautifully cheesy night. We worked at Common House, went to one of our favorite restaurants, and then ended the night walking along the bridge to live music. Little did I know, Alec was getting such bad blisters walking everywhere and didn't tell me. We drove back and listened to our favorite music together. Thanks to that fateful bonfire, our mutual love for soccer, and the nudge of some well-connected friends, our story started. From weekday soccer games to dancing at concerts and enjoying quiet, quality moments together, we've enjoyed our dating life. Now, here we are—celebrating the next chapter of our story with all of you. It turns out, some of the best love stories really do begin with a little chaos, a lot of laughter, faith, and a match (aka that first bonfire).
