We are so blessed to be able to celebrate with TWO wedding celebrations. Below are several questions about both the celebration in Garland, Texas and the celebration in Guadalajara, Mexico.

What is a traditional wedding?

Answer

An Igbo wedding, also known as "Igba Nkwu" or "Igba Ndu," is a traditional marriage ceremony among the Igbo people. The ceremony is rich in cultural significance and is a joyous celebration that involves various customs and rituals.

Where should we stay?

Answer

In Garland there are many Airbnbs & hotels near the venue. We have a room block at the Hyatt Place Dallas/Garland/Richardson. In Guadalajara, Mexico, we have a discount at the Hyatt Andares and Wyndham Garden Guadalajara Acueducto. Please see the travel tab on our website for more information and for the discount codes.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The traditional wedding in Garland is cocktail attire and we encourage traditional outfits as well as bright colors. Our wedding in Guadalajara, Mexico, is formal and we encourage traditional outfits. Please note: The colors red & gold will be reserved for family members & the wedding party.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony in Guadalajara, Mexico?

Answer

The ceremony in Guadalajara, Mexico, will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. It is a large church, but please arrive early to see the bride make her entrance!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony in Guadalajara, Mexico?

Answer

Yes! In Guadalajara, Mexico, transportation to the ceremony from the Hyatt Andares and the Wyndham Garden Guadalajara Acueducto will be provided. Transportation from the ceremony to the reception will also be provided. The reception space is within walking distance from the Hyatt Andares and the Wyndham Garden Guadalajara Acueducto.
