Built in 1782, The Penelope Barker House Welcome Center was the home of Penelope Barker, who led the first organized political action by women in America—the 1774 Edenton Tea Party. It was a beautiful site to visit and it was extradorinaiy to see such a part of Edenton's colonial history, especially looking over the water! Highly Recommend!
