FAQs

Question

Is the wedding/reception outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Both the wedding and reception are indoors.

Question

What is the weather in Maryland at the end of March?

Answer

Cold. It’s usually still quite cold, with the occasional late-March snowstorm. However… Maryland is known for temperamental weather - so definitely check your weather app before you pack!

Question

Are children included in the invitation?

Answer

Although we love to watch the children laugh and play, this is going to be an adults-only kind of day. With the exception of the flower girl & ring bearer, our invitations include children 12 and over.

Question

Where do I park my car?

Answer

Our wedding venue is 100% valet parking! There is no on-site parking. Valet parking begins at 4:15pm. The valet lot is fully staffed with on-site security. Please plan to arrive at least 1/2 an hour before the wedding starts!

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

Both the wedding and reception are at The Butterfly Room at Sandtown Furniture!

Question

Is there an open bar at the reception?

Answer

We will have an open bar at the reception. Please note that our venue has a strict “no drunkenness” policy and bartenders have the authority to restrict alcohol service to any guest who is on the road to over-indulgence.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

BWI airport (DON’T book a flight into Dulles! You will have a VERY long drive!)

Question

Which hotel should I book?

Answer

We have provided 4 hotel suggestions for out of town guests. The wedding party and grandparents are recommended to book a room at Turf Valley Resort. This is a central location to both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. If you need to rent a car, you might want to stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Baltimore at BWI Airport. If you would prefer the hotel that is the closest to the wedding venue, we recommend Holiday Inn Express Baltimore at the Stadiums. If you would like to stay in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, we recommend the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. (But we don’t recommend walking around Baltimore at night.)
