What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:15pm. The ceremony starts at 4:30pm

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, little black dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and button-up shirts and slacks. The weather in August in Virginia is hot so dress accordingly. The ceremony is outdoors, but the reception is indoors with air conditioning.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Count this as a date night if you can! Kids are allowed, but not preferred.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Guest will not be permitted a Plus One at our wedding to keep it intimate with our closest family and friends.

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar during cocktail hour and the reception for guests 21+. Tips are strongly encouraged. No outside alcohol is permitted per Virginia ABC law.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The James Morgan has onsite parking. Upon arrival at 3436 Buffalo Drive, bear left towards the balloons and drive up the lane. Follow the road and stay on the paved portion until you see a barn on your left with a green roof where you will find parking. There is also parking at the top of the lane to the right of the venue.

Are cell phones allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

While we are ecstatic about your joy in capturing our ceremony on your lenses, we please ask you to refrain from using cell phones or any other types of cameras until after the ceremony. We have hired a professional wedding photographer to capture our nuptials.
